Why do I Need an Escrow Company for my Surrogacy, Egg Donation, or Adoption?

We understand that there have been numerous incidents where parties were taken advantage of during their surrogacy, egg donation, or adoption process. It is imperative that a trustworthy third-party manage the funds to protect the interests of all parties. The bottom line is, growing your family is a tremendous investment and we are here to take care of all parties.


How is My Surrogacy Escrow Different from other Escrow Agencies?

 My Surrogacy Escrow has experienced staff on hand to properly manage your funds. We provide you access to your account online through our client login 24 hours a day and 7 days a week (you can also download the app to your phone or tablet). When you login, you will be able to view receipts, payments, and alerts of any changes to your account.

We are available to answer any questions you may have through phone, email, in person, and video conferences. We look forward to helping you.


How Can I Communicate with My Surrogacy Escrow?

As our client, you will be given the cell phone number of our president and co-founder, Tim Sullivan. However, most clients choose to communicate with us through our web portal, email, and client login. Responses can be expected within 2-3 hours during normal business hours on the east coast of the United States. All inquiries will receive a response within 48 business hours.


How do I Sign Up for the Client Portal?

 After the intended parents have signed the My Surrogacy Escrow Agreement, we will create a client login for all parties. You should receive an email with instructions on how to set up your username and password for the account. All parties will hace online access 24/7 through your computer, phone, or tablet (you can download the app online).


 

What Languages do You Speak?

Members of our staff speak English and Spanish. However, our office can use “language line” resources to communicate with clients who do not speak English or Spanish.


 

Where will My Funds be Held?

The funds associated with your surrogacy agreement will be securely held in an IOLTA trust account at SunTrust Bank.


How will Funds be Transferred to My Surrogate?

We will follow the guidelines of your Gestational Surrogacy Agreement (GSA). When our office receives a request outside of the GSA, we will review it and parties will be contacted to confirm the transfer of funds. Thereafter, the funds can be transferred via direct deposit, check, money order, or certified check.


What if it is Not Necessary that All of the Funds Held in the Escrow Account be Used?

Any unused funds in your escrow account will be refunded to the intended parents, in accordance with the terms and conditions of your contract. It is common that a waiting period take place before any refund to ensure that all medical bills associated with the birth of your child be processed (exact time is normally stipulated in your contract).



What Does Surrogacy Escrow Cost?

At My Surrogacy Escrow, we know firsthand that the financial burdens associated with growing your family through surrogacy, egg donation, or adoption can be daunting. For this reason, My Surrogacy Escrow has established flat fees.

Fees associated with escrow management services can be paid with cash, check, money order, ACH transfer, or any major credit card.
